On June 8, 2023, the Climate Organization Asia Climate Action Summit was successfully held in Singapore. Nearly 300 business leaders, policy makers and investment institutions from Asia and regions around the world gathered together to focus on Asia's industrial and energy transformation and discuss opportunities and challenges in development, paths and methods, cooperation and win-win results.
In the Spotlight part, from industry leading enterprises, the national government and analysis of guests on the green transformation policy, green innovation, climate investment and financing, launched a positive and productive discussion.
Yaxi Han, the Principle of Jiangsu CID Operation Management Co., Ltd., as a guest from China to this topic, made the innovation case to share. Some of the shared content is as follows.
In order to limit global warming to 1.5°C, despite various uncertainties in the world, every continent, country and region of the world is doing the same thing, vigorously developing renewable energy, continuously increasing renewable energy power generation, and continuously increasing the proportion of renewable energy electricity. This is also based on the PAS2060 carbon neutrality new standard, which solves the carbon emissions of Scope 2 purchased electricity.
However due to the different power structure and transmission mode of each continent, country and region, different power system standards have been formed, resulting in whether the user side uses pure renewable energy electricity for low-carbon or zero-carbon product production, and the use of different evaluation systems under different standards has produced different evaluation results. This difference has caused confusion and hindered the globalization of the zero-carbon system.
The world is doing the same thing around a common goal, just because the difference in the standard system has produced different evaluation results, we hope to solve this problem and make the globalization of the zero-carbon system smoothly.
We have worked with international organisations including Climate Organization, British Standards Institute, International Green Certificate Standards, VERRA and Rocky Mountain Institue. We actively dialogue with the relevant departments of the EU to realize the adaptation of power system standards in low-carbon industrial parks to the standards of the two places, unify the evaluation system and evaluation results, integrate green power certification and carbon footprint certification with international standards, set up a zero-carbon development management team, and provide consulting, managment and trading services for the whole life cycle of zero carbon, which will surely become a stage for enterprises with green power and green certificate demand at home and abroad to show their talents. It also provides a new path of zero carbonization for the world, a sustainable and replicable zero carbon sample.
The Climate Asia Action Summit and related activities ended perfectly, which once again highlights the irreplaceable importance of Asia in both steel production, energy transition and the application of new energy products.
Trina Zero Carbon Technology will continue to speak out globally and contribute to the global green transformation. We will continue to take 'carbon reduction' as the core, with 'green electricity' as the starting point, to provide an overall zero-carbon solution for the construction of zero-carbon park, to provide factories with overall zero-carbon solutions through mechanism innovations such as 'carbon neutral' technology', 'carbon tax' and carbon sink'.
